This is a large, broad spear point. The stormy gray material in the center is extremely tough to knap. We commonly call it “concrete”. It takes a lot of force, grinding, and preparation to flake the stone. But when it works, a spectacular point can emerge. The size and the colors in this stone, especially with a 3 inch width, makes this a really nice point for someone’s collection. |
