I was cutting out the handle preform and the wood began to smoke, due to a dull blade. I usually change the blade immediately if the material smokes. The burnt birds eye maple smelled like freshly baked cookies.....I didn't change the blade, just cleaned it up in the shaping.
Exceptional Cliff Carney Bullseye blade, both in design and knapping.
Oh, this dagger attracts green moths.
