Beautiful colors were realized from a rock I purchased this past year, flawlessly knapped by Cliff Carney.
I carved the handle from Wenge. It's nice when there's a large span of grain in this highly figured wood.....harder and softer areas of the wood allow for a depth when the softer areas are undercut.
