This unique piece is completely hand made from natural materials.
Combining primitive elements with exotic materials and traditional middle eastern style, it is a one of a kind work of art.
The dagger is hand carved from a Camel canon bone (lower leg). The grip has an Ebony veneer liner and wrapped in traditional braintanned buckskin. The engraving is filled in with charcoal mixed with epoxy. Blade oiled with mineral oil.
Sheath of wood wrapped in buckskin, with accents of gorgeous highly figured Olive wood from Israel.
A bedouin proverb that says "Trust in Allah, but tie your Camel first." is incorporated into the piece in two parts.
The sheath carries the first part (burned) - "Trust in Allah"
The blade carries the second (engraved). - "But tie your Camel first"
Overall Length - 13"
Blade Length - 7"
Blade Thickness - about 3/16"
All materials were ethically and legally sourced. Animal products are all from the USA.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This blade is a piece of art and NOT a weapon. Bone is fragile and the item is intended for display purposes ONLY! Any damage to the piece incurred after delivery of the item is the soul responsibility of the buyer. |
