Bullseye Jasper from Nevada is a unique material, and has its share of defects. One is something called a vug, or soft spot. Once in a while a vug will disolve over eons and leave a hole in the rock. Knapping a point with such a hole can be dicey, but when you pull it off it makes for a totally unique "see-thru" point! |
