This peice is made from a wonderful slab of black Buffallo River from Stan Payne. It is percussion knapped, jig fluted, with pressure retouch. On side A of the point, the first flute, curved off the right side of the blade, which is also present on some of the originals. Side B is the really weird one....it fluted from the base as it should, but I guess I had ground the tip of the point just right to cause a flute to run from there too! They met almost half way. Still a great peice and some beautiful stone....Thanks Stan! |
