A beautiful, modified Deschutes dagger blade by Cliff Carne (no disrespect intended)...from my material. I have basal ground to accept sinew.
It's hafted into Mariposa manzanita, using a finely serrated chert blade to whittle it down...no machine marks.
Tolerances are tight.
The broken lance is embedded into a 10,000 year old fossilized Bison vertebrae......not one of my usual hillside bull bones, which I stain and age to look ancient. This is the real deal.
A very enjoyable project!
