Knife River clovis made using hammerstone percussion and antler punch flute. I tried to remove as big a flakes as possible that could be used as tools just like what was done by the clovis culture. The second picture shows the major flake removals including an early overshot flake. Several of these large flake scars are still visible on the finished point. |
