the iconic spear thrower of the American Southwest, the Basketmaker II (named for the culture that used it) is one of most refined and unique atlatl systems there is. its one of a kind grip (called the 'floating' grip) and delivery are unlike anything else in the world and, after some getting used to, produces one of the fastest and flattest trajectories around. this recreation is made from a solid branch of super tough, yet flexible, carob with a carved integral spur and burned in designs. the finger loops are smoke tanned deer hide with quilted stitching and are fully adjustable, and the the weight is a polished cobble of speckled granite placed for maximum balance. 25'' overall. come try this classic design. order between now and April 29th with two matching darts and recieve a third dart free! |
