This is an authentic reproduction arrowhead made from a glossy piece of light pink chert. The chain and hardware are copper which was a special material for most Native Americans. The length of the chain is 21 inches, so it will fit some of the largest of fellows.
The dark line across the point is not a crack or a break even though it looks like one. It is a small dark mineral deposit, most likely iron that was crystallized millions of years ago as the parent stone this point was made from formed. It is hard to see in the photo but there are several other places were minerals we deposited as well. |
