This one stops you cold. Rick Tollett has paired a stunning Amethyst sage agate blade with a beautifully carved antler handle featuring a naturalistic eagle head — and the result is nothing short of a showpiece.
The blade itself is a feast for the eyes: creamy whites and warm caramel tones swirl through the stone with that characteristic translucency sage agate is prized for. The knapping is clean and confident, tapering to a fine point with smooth, flowing edges. In sunlight it just glows.
The handle is the perfect complement — rich amber antler, naturally curved, with a carved eagle head at the pommel that adds real artistic dimension without feeling overdone. The hafting wrap at the junction is tight and workmanlike. This knife is as sturdy as it is beautiful.
Rick Tollett's work under the Stepping Stone banner needs no introduction to anyone who's been in this community for more than five minutes. This piece is a prime example of why.
