This is an Ishi point made out of a piece of amber glass I scrounged out of an old ranch dump. Ishi made Wintu points like this after he came out of the wilds in 1911 and demonstrated flaking points for visitors at the museum in San Francisco on Sunday afternoons until his passing in 1916. This piece of glass near my work area kept bugging me to finish it.... so I did. |
