Alibates Flint is a well know flint from Texas that was popular among prehistoric people for many thousands of years. It's no less popular among modern knappers but is very difficult to get. The famous Alibates Flint Quarries site is a national monument, so can't be obtained from there. But from time to time some is found on private property that finds its way into the hands of a fortunate knapper. |
