This Wintu point is made out of a piece of agate that I am not sure of the origin of but its probably out of agate rich Central OR someplace. The reddish agate towards the base is quite pretty. The tip turns to white and had a lot of fine crystals present in it so I really had to tip toe to keep it intact which I managed to do by the way of a long skinny white tip. Expanded notches on this one with the base typical Wintu style. This one is more in keeping with the actual size of the originals which for some reason many knappers make way oversized. Size matters to some folks I guess... |
