This agate side notch point is made out of a piece of clear agate with an orange tinged tip and back barb. Some of the Shasta made points like this with large key hole notches and a pronounced 'fox ear' base but then so did a lot of folk in the SW too. I think this is a piece of Brazilian agate. It was sort of cranky and grainy in one part of the stone which made it a challenge to work but I managed to make it behave.....barely. |
