Had I known what a paint this material would be to work with I would have tossed it. It looked good but had glossy spots, sugary spots, hard to flake stiff spots, and then toss into that mix little crystal pockets and tiny 1/32" sized tiny round 'ball bearings" of unknown material. Made the flake pattern all goofy since there was little consistency to it. Still I managed to coax this Crump lake style Northern side notch point out of it with serrated edges and expanding notches I should of just kept it for a hunting point, made to shoot and break but I'll let it go anyway. Sometimes weird surprises in material test ones mettle as a knapper. |
