This is one of the finest quality pipe tomahawks I've ever made. A premium curly maple handle was hand rubbed with traditional stain and finish to produce a deep, rich finish. The brass tacks were each hand aged to build up a false patina, and the head has a lot of extra file work that is period correct. The head has been aged to a deep brownish black patina, and the mouth piece is made from bone.
This piece now resides in the Murphy Collection. |
