This is a full sized pipe tomahawk modeled after the originals. It has a curly maple handle stained with old time cherry red stain and a hand rubbed linseed & pine distillate finish. The head is made from iron and has detailed hand filling on the pipe rim and sides that is period correct. It has been aged with a rich brownish black patina like a 200 year old tomahawk should have. It is drilled with from end to end and draws just as it should from the aged bone mouth piece. This is not for the casual collector but for the collector that wants an old looking, authentic looking wall hanger. This hawk is full sized and beautiful. Originals in this condition sell for tens of thousands of dollars. Here is a chance to own a replica for a whole lot less! |
