Here is a large Turkey Tail point made from Texas Rootbeer Flint. While originals were generally made from Hornstone, this one is still a beauty. I even left a bit or cortex on the base and tip to show that I used the whole length of the orignial material. It's thickness is 8mm at the thickest area! It also if very translucent when held up to the light and reminds me of Knife River Flint. |
