This piece is my interpretation of a "Swallowtail" projectile point, which is frequently associated with the Glacial Kame Culture (occupying parts of Ontario, Ohio, Indiana, and southern Michigan). This style appears to be somewhat rare and few are found fully intact, as the "horns" are likely to break free or corrode away. This one measures approximately 7 inches in length and weighs about 4.7 ounces.
Made by me, in Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula. |
