This was a crazy piece of hornstone to chip because it changed colors like took a patina as as every flake was removed and it's still changing. I got it from a guy who is from Tennessee who said it's Kentucky stone but I think it looks like Indiana stone but it's definitely hornstone. Nice thickness and scaring minimal edge work and the base is ground to a polish.
