Some awesome curves on the blade of this custom collector’s knife! Antique black carrara glass is expertly knapped, & is glossy & sharp. A choice piece of Axis deer antler has been dyed & hafted to the blade. Tight & strong is the joint, & all is glued & wrapped in hemp. The haft area is also onlaid with a copper ring of Southwestern motifs, & turquoise. On the butt end I carved a bear claw & inlaid a nice cabochon or turquoise. All is buffed to perfection & ready for display. A big knife with a nice form, & comfortable in the hand. I fashioned the stand from texture-painted wood & an awesome – life size eagle skull replica. Close-up photos are provided to show off the detail work! (Knife is 10 ½” long). Quite a show piece! Please include $14.00 for shipping & insurance. |
