This is an interest material. It's Goldsheen from Glass Buttes but has an unusual pattern and color mix in comparison to some of the more common material. I call it Calico Gold because it reminds me of the color of a calico cat. It has gold sheen as usual but also has seal hair silver sheen to it--Ive even found a piece with a small spot of fire.
To me it all starts with the blade. It only makes sense that a knife as such ought to be sharp and able to cut things--I test mine on some scrap industrial leather, and you can see this demonstration in my youtube videos. Once I have a sharp blade with the appearance I want I consider what the handle might look like an proceed from there until Ive created what I offer to collectors and gifters and a few keeper pieces of my own. My prices are far more than reasonable for what you get when purchasing my work. But why not? Theres no reason that I can see to go beyond affordable and worth i into greed and false adverising.
