I've been working a lot of basalt and ryolite lately for the sake of the challenge and re-inforcing good technique. This blade was roughed out with a hammerstone followed by using an antler punch and the antler pressure flaker shown in the pic. No modern tools used, all abo. Clean flaking, thin sharp edges. |
