This point is knapped from a historic slag glass retrieved from Lake Sevan in Armenia. It was created and discarded many decades ago after Armenia had industrialized. Slag glass was a by-product of smelting iron ore. The iron ore has a unique geographic chemistry fingerprint, giving the glass unique color and pattern. As a result, it's has made this historical material desirable for jewelry makers, collectors and ........ crazy flintknappers. |
