Hey All, Welcome to my web page. My name is Doug Leeth of Ice Age Arts. I have been working with stone for over 20 yrs. now. My work has been featured in Derek Mcleans flint knapping calenders as well as the lithics guild journals. When I lived in Ohio I walked the fields looking for artifacts. I would find a point and look at it in amazement of how it was made. One day I was in a muzzle loading shop looking through all the how to books that were sold there. I picked up a book called the\"Art of Flint knappping\" and the rest is history. I started out doing percussion work and when I started making my custom knives I got into a method referred to as \"flake over grind\". I now have adapted this method to doing my style of points. I have worked with some of the rarest and exotic stones from around the world. I just love high grade and colorful rock. My favorite rock is high grade corals, cherts and agates. Its kinda funny. I was born and raised in Ohio, now live in North Carolina and my favorite point styles are Florida points such as newnans and hillsboros(go figure). Recently I have been making some really exotic display arrows which are sure to please. I also am very active in th atlatl community. I have been throwing now for over 15 years. I have been in the top ten throwers in the world for a few years now. Just love throwing them spears. Feel confident when you buy my work it is the best I can produce.
